SEB to discontinue payment services to Russia and Belarus from 1 June

The last day to initiate payments to Russia and Belarus is 31 May 2022 (incl.).
After this date, we will automatically terminate any current standing orders, and for making payments, we recommend contacting a bank that provides payment services to banks in Russia and Belarus. 
 
We have decided to discontinue our payment services because the war in Ukraine and the daily increasing sanctions against the Russian and Belarusian states, citizens and companies make transactions with these countries very difficult and risky.
 
Payments from Russia and Belarus will be accepted until 31 May 2022 (incl.), and payments received after that date will be automatically credited back to the originator. We recommend making arrangements to receive payments in good time, as transactions with these countries may take longer than usual.
 
Going forward, we will only allow payment services to Russia/Belarus in exceptional cases related to Estonia’s national interests or for humanitarian reasons, such as pension payments.
