-
medical and pharmaceutical expenses incurred during a trip as a result of unexpected illness or accidents, incl. terrorism. If the doctor decides that the patient requires urgent transportation to Estonia, the related costs will also be covered;
-
expenses related to an extended trip, if the insured person is unable to return to Estonia due to an insured event involving medical aid;
-
the travel expenses (up to five days’ worth) of a close person for visiting the insured person abroad, if an insured event involving medical aid has taken place;
-
expenses that are incurred
-
upon cancellation of your trip, i.e. if a trip that has been booked and paid for or bought does not take place. In such a case, the cost of the part of the travel package that was redeemed or irrevocably ordered and was subject to purchase (e.g. hotel room rent, plane tickets, car rent, concert tickets, tours), which the insured person or policyholder is not entitled to retrieve from the travel agent or service provider related to the trip, is reimbursed;

upon discontinuation of your trip, i.e. if a trip that was already started is cut short and you return to Estonia. A trip is considered to have begun when the insured person leaves his/her home or place of work by regular transport to head for the harbour, airport, bus or train station. In the case that a trip is discontinued, the insured person is reimbursed any additional travelling and accommodation expenses that are necessary to return to Estonia or reach the destination of the trip;
-
upon late arrival for your trip, i.e. if the insured person arrives late at the starting or transit point of his/her trip by regular transport (except hydrofoil ships) as a result of getting into a traffic accident, a technical failure, unfavourable weather conditions or crime. Any reasonable extra expenses that are necessary to make it to the trip or continue the trip will be reimbursed. If the trip of the insured person includes transfers, any reasonable extra expenses that are incurred when the person uses an alternative means of transport which is necessary to switch from one means of transportation to another are reimbursed. Any accommodation expenses are reimbursed as well. Any expenses incurred as a result of being late to one’s trip due to stolen documents will also be reimbursed;
-
expenses that are incurred as a result of changing plane tickets to the same destination due to unexpected changes in the itinerary. Any expenses that are incurred as a result of changing plane tickets due to a cancelled trip or missing the flight or connecting flight are similarly reimbursed;
-
expenses that are incurred due to departing flights being delayed by more than 12 hours. Any essential subsistence, transportation and accommodation expenditure is reimbursed. The insurer will cover the costs of one insured event per insurance period;
-
any expenses that are incurred, if your luggage goes missing, is late or damaged;
-
unexpectedly and unforeseeably caused material damage or personal injuries to third parties which the policyholder must cover by law. Any legal and bail expenses are also covered under liability insurance.
