Summary

E-invoice is an electronic document sent to the bank by the invoice issuer (service provider) and it completely replaces the paper invoice. E-invoices can be received from those service providers who offer their customers the opportunity to send billing information as e-invoices. The prerequisite for sending e-invoices to a bank is an agreement between you and the invoice issuer. You can view all your received e-invoices for 13 months, after this period they are deleted from the banking system. If you wish to store your invoices for longer, you can easily save them to your computer from the internet bank.
You can view all your e-invoices in your internet bank, which means that all of your future invoices will be available in one place, regardless of where you are at the moment.
The service is secure, as the e-invoices are stored in your internet bank and are not accessible to third parties.
Paying the e-invoices is simple and convenient – when you open the e-invoice, the payment order is already filled in with the correct payment information. However, you can also set up automated standing orders to make the payment of e-invoices even more convenient.
We will send you a message in the internet bank whenever you receive an e-invoice. However, for more convenience you can also apply for new e-invoice notifications in the mobile app or SMS.

You can easily apply for e-invoices in the internet bank section “Payments” – “E-invoices”. If you are unable to set up e-invoices in the internet bank, you can book a meeting at any branch of SEB. Remember to take your personal identity document.

E-invoice with automated standing order

E-invoice with automated standing order is the most convenient way to pay regular invoices. You can select when the bank pays from your account – on the invoice payment deadline, on the second day after the invoice arrived at the bank, or on a set date, if the invoice issuer permits such a selection. The invoice amount can be different each time and payments are made only if they don’t exceed the limits set by you.

By using e-invoice with automated standing order service, your invoices are always paid on time and you do not have to spend your time making payments.

E-invoice with automated standing order is cheaper than current internal and domestic payments.

Good to know
Take care that your account has sufficient funds on the agreed payment date no later than 16:00. If by the payment deadline the necessary amount has not reached your account or the invoice exceeds your allowed limit, we will not complete the standing payment order. We will transfer the amount on your account, if you have permitted partial payments to be made.

By permitting a partial payment, you need to take into account that, for example, a newspaper subscription or insurance agreements are not extended before the invoice has been paid in full. Therefore, we suggest to immediately pay the invoices for certain services in full.

We recommend to apply for a notification by SMS or a push notification in the mobile app, in case your account has insufficient funds as of the payment deadline or the invoice amount exceeds the allowed limit.
You can easily set up the automated standing order for e-invoice in the internet bank section “Payments” – “E-invoices”. If you are unable to set up automated standing order for e-invoices in the internet bank, you can book a meeting at any branch of SEB. Remember to take your personal identity document.

Frequently asked questions

The most convenient to do it is by using the internet bank. Log in and open section “Payments” – “E-invoices”. There you can conclude a new e-invoice application – search for the company by its name or registration code, and then fill in the required information. Your customer number or service ID can usually be found in the agreement you have concluded with the company or previous invoices.

If you are unable to set up e-invoices in the internet bank, you can book a meeting at any branch of SEB. Remember to take your personal identity document.

Yes. In this case, the bank will be sent an e-invoice with limited information, based on which standing payments can be made automatically. A complete bill, with detailed information about the service or goods, will be sent by the service provider to you via another agreed upon route (e-mail, regular post or the like).
Book a meeting at any branch of SEB to apply for the service. Remember to take your personal identity document and your customer number, which can usually be found in previous invoices received or the agreement you have concluded with the company.

Please note that not all companies have concluded agreement with SEB for forwarding e-invoices. If searching for a company by its name or registration number gives no results, unfortunately this company is not yet available for the e-invoice service.

E-invoice payments are just the same as regular transactions, which means that the same fees are applied in accordance with the price list.

If there are insufficient funds on your account on the payment day or the e-invoice exceeds your allowed limit, the banking system checks your current account until the payment deadline shown on the invoice and makes the payment when money is paid into the account. If your account does not have sufficient funds to make the payment in the amount shown on the e-invoice and within the deadline or if you do not increase the limit within the period, the standing order will not be made.
If you have permitted partial payments to be made from your account, the bank sends the invoice issuer the amount, within the amount on your account, on the payment deadline, subtracting the bank’s service fee from the amount. By permitting partial payment, you need to take into account that a newspaper subscription, fitness club monthly card, ID ticket or insurance are not extended before the invoice has been fully paid. Therefore, we suggest not to permit partial payment for certain services.

Yes, e-invoices can be changed and/or cancelled in the internet bank or a bank branch. It is possible to change the current account number, payment day, daily and monthly limits, agreement termination date and whether partial payments are permitted or not. The changes will be valid from the point of making the change, except when the payment day is changed. A change in the payment date is valid from the next e-invoice with automated standing order sent to the bank.

If you have an e-invoice with automated standing order agreement for paying the e-invoice, then we recommend you cancel the automatic payment of the particular invoice. As the bank is not responsible for the contents of the e-invoice, address any questions to the invoice issuer, or the service provider. If the need to pay this invoice at a later date arises, you have to make a regular internal or domestic payment.

You can view the e-invoice in the internet bank as soon as seller has forwarded it to the bank. Please contact the seller in case you have not received any e-invoice.

If you have not received an e-invoice, please contact the seller. There may be several reasons, but the most common and their solutions are:
•    In the internet bank section Payments – E-invoices – My agreements, make sure that all data in the e-invoice application are correct and the bank account you specified is not closed.
•    Some merchants only allow e-invoices to be received by customers who have signed an agreement with them, but this cannot be verified in the internet bank. If you have applied for another person's e-invoice, contact the invoice sender and ask if the seller provides e-invoices to third parties.
•    Some sellers start sending e-invoices not the next month from the date of e-invoice application, but a month later. For example: if you applied for an e-invoice on August 19, the seller will issue the first e-invoice for September, and you will receive it only in October.

By applying for the e-invoice with automated standing order service, you will have the possibility to choose one of the following e-invoice payment days*:
•    Two days after receiving e-invoice;
•    On the due date specified in the e-invoice;
•    On a particular date each subsequent month if the seller offers such an option.
* 08.30 pm is the last possible time for the e-invoice payment on the day you have chosen. Please provide the necessary amount of money in your account in advance.

•    Check if the due date in the e-invoice with automated standing order has come. Check if the amount of the received e-invoice does not exceed the daily/monthly limit specified by yourself.
•    Check if your account had sufficient funds on e-invoice payment due date.
Is it possible to cancel the payment of the current e-invoice?
•    If the e-invoice with automated payment order has not been executed yet, you may cancel it without terminating the agreement for e-invoice with automated payment order.
•    If the e-invoice has already been paid, you may initiate the standing order withdrawal procedure in accordance with the price list of the bank's services.

The daily limit is the maximum amount that the bank may pay towards the e-invoice forwarded to you. Conversely, the monthly limit is the maximum amount that the bank may use during the period of one calendar month to make payments towards the e-invoices of each particular seller.

If the E-invoice with automated standing order agreement allows for partial payment, the e-invoice will be paid up to the amount of money in your account at the time of the last possible payment.
