Contractor’s plant and machinery insurance
With construction’s plant and machinery insurance, you can protect your company 's vehicles and machines up to 15 year old that are used for that is used:
- Construction work (cranes, road construction vehicles, earthmoving machinery, lifting equipment, etc.)
- Agriculture (combine harvesters, tractors, mowers, seeders, etc.)
- Forestry (harvesters, forwarders, timber trailers, etc.)
Contractor’s plant and machinery insurance is essentially all-risk insurance – insured events are any and all unexpected and unforeseeable events that have not been precluded in the terms and conditions.
In cooperation with PZU Kindlustus, we mediate insurance for contractor’s plant and machinery to our clients. This insurance provides protection both in the work process and during transport.

Contractor’s plant and machinery insurance covers any damage to the object of insurance caused by:
- fire (incl. smoke, soot and damage from extinguishing work), direct or indirect lightning strikes, explosions (except explosions in internal combustion engines, boilers and pressure vessels caused by the expansion of liquids);
- natural disaster (storm, flood, earthquake, landslide, rock falls, soil collapse, etc.);
- vandalism (damage or destruction of an insured object by a third party);
- robbery (seizure of the insured object through the use of physical violence or direct threats thereof);
- theft;
- collision with an obstacle, tipping over and falling into ditches or trenches at the place of insurance; and;
- other incidents that are not ruled out by the policy conditions.
Contractor’s plant and machinery insurance also compensates for the following additional expenses:

- reasonable costs for preventing or reducing the damage incurred in the event of an insured event, even if they did not produce the desired result;
- expenses related to night and overtime hours, working on public holidays, express cargo (including air freight);
- travel and accommodation expenses of the representatives of the manufacturer, importer or dealer repairing the insured item;
- rescue costs of the insured item (including the costs of cleaning the insured item);
- the costs of removing the accident object from the scene of the accident, the necessary and justified costs of dismantling and reassembling, and the costs of transporting it to and from the repair shop.
The additional costs pertaining to the management of the consequences of the insured event are indemnified in the extent of up to 10% of the sum insured of the object of insurance – up to a maximum of 10,000 euros.
When contractor’s plant and machinery insurance is concluded through SEB, no deductible applies to glass coverage.

What to do in the case of an insured event?
PZU is AB "Lietuvos draudimas" Estonian branch trademark in Estonia. AB "Lietuvos draudimas" is a Lithuanian insurance company, that is part of the international PZU Group. AS SEB Pank and AS SEB Liising act as the insurance agents of the Estonian branch of AB "Lietuvos draudimas" and have been entered into the list of insurance intermediaries published on the website of the Estonian Financial Supervision Authority. The list is available at www.fi.ee.
An insurance agent receives an agency fee for mediating the insurance, which is included in the insurance premium. The agency fee payable by PZU to the agent is 16% of the insurance premium for Contractor’s plant and machinery insurance.
