Record number of Estonian companies applied to the SEB Growth Programme

On Wednesday, 13 March, the fifth SEB Growth Programme will start, where 12 companies were validated and at the same time 20 will start at the digital Growth Programme, to whom advice and suggestions in developing their businesses is given by a digital robot mentor Growby.

“Nearly a hundred companies with the ambition and will to grow their businesses through business model digitalisation, applied to the fifth Growth Programme. 32 ambitious companies were picked to take part in the Growth Programme starting in spring, during which they go through an intensive course of innovation within 3 months. The goal is to reach a global and escalating business model,” said the head of strategy and customer experience in SEB Baltic division Andra Altoa. “A good example from the last round of the Growth Programme is the logistics company DSV and software robotics developer Flowit Estonia. While taking part in SEB Growth Programme, the companies found an unexpected synergy, which resulted in creating a sales robot Aitoldyou in cooperation. The robot is helping DSV in their everyday sales work, can forecast future sales with up to 85% accuracy, and is applicable to different clients. It provides Flowit with an opportunity to grow their turnover one hundred times instead of ten,” added Altoa.

Growth Programme is practical, based on case studies and is developed by SEB and the European Innovation Academy.

Growth Programme consists of five academic sessions, which in turn consist of public practical lectures and workshops.

Topics to be addressed by the Growth Programme:

  • Designing growth ambition
  • Prototyping, changing the business model, and creating the minimum viable product
  • Testing different types of innovation
  • Innovation culture
  • Creating an open business model
  • Preparing a 100-day action plan

By now, more than 50 Estonian companies have already undergone the SEB Growth Programme.
