SEB paid dividends in the sum of EUR 30 million, from which income tax was paid in the sum of EUR 7.5 million

SEB Estonia paid EUR 30 million in dividends on its 2016 profit, from which corporation tax was paid in the sum of EUR 7.5 million.

“SEB Estonia is strongly capitalised, and in the last three years we have increased the disbursements of dividends for the owners, which in turn has increased our contribution to the country’s tax profits. Over the past three years, SEB Bank Group has, in the form of different payments, including employee taxes, paid EUR 67.7 million to the State Treasury,” commented the head of the board of SEB Bank, Allan Parik.

Dividend payments by SEB to the parent company have increased each year. Last year, SEB Estonia paid dividends in the sum of EUR 20 million, from which corporation tax was paid into state revenues in the sum of EUR 5 million. In Q1 2015, SEB Estonia paid dividends in the amount of EUR 10 million (corporation tax was EUR 2.18 million).
