Today, 18 April, SEB is set to open an innovation centre in Tallinn, aimed at increasing their business potential and remaining competitive. At the heart of the centre is a growth programme for enterprises, which helps operating enterprises to reach a plan on how to take a step forward in their businesses with an outlook of three to six months.
The idea behind establishing an innovation centre within the headquarters of SEB is to bring together businesses who wish to take a step forward in their development and to find the best way for doing so by trying out different solutions.
Allan Parik, Chairman of the Management Board of SEB: “Estonia’s ambition is to catch up with our wealthy northern neighbours, Finland and Sweden, as regards living standards. However, when looking at actual economic growth, then in 2015 we ranked 23rd and last year 20th among EU Member States with this indicator. If the growth rate of the recent years is sustained, we are never going to achieve the expected level. The state is definitely responsible for the creation of a favourable business environment, but as entrepreneurs, we are responsible for always striving for the best outcome. SEB has taken a proactive stance in the promotion of business activities and the created innovation centre with its programme is likely to help many enterprises reach a new level in the near future.”
