This year, SEB Pank – Gold Sponsor of the Estonian National Opera – will be presenting the Public Choice Awards for male and female soloists, as selected by opera-goers, for the seventh time.
Winners will be selected from amongst the Estonian National Opera’s staff soloists via an audience vote, and each public favourite will be rewarded with EUR 2000. Until 26 March, theatregoers will be able to cast their votes for their favourites while attending a performance at the Estonian National Opera. This year’s winners will be announced on 30 March, at the performance of the opera “Aida”.
“The Estonian National Opera is a highly respected employer and a theatre with a diverse repertoire, which actively contributes to the activities taking place in the community. Positive emotions – something that is always offered by visits to Estonia – may change one’s life or lead one to think differently. The excellent cooperative relationship between SEB and the Estonian National Opera has lasted for many years, and is valued by us and our clients,” said Allan Parik, Chairman of the Management Board of SEB Pank. “March is Theatre Month, and traditionally we let our audience select the most beloved female and male artists at the Estonian National Opera. The Public Choice Award is sincere recognition from the audience, and it has become a nice tradition,” added Parik
In 2016, the SEB Public Choice Awards were presented to soprano Heli Veskus and baritone Jassi Zahharov. All those voting will enter the Estonian National Opera’s lucky draw for ten 20-euro gift cards on 29 March. For more on SEB’s Public Choice Awards, go to: www.opera.ee/lavastus/seb-publikupreemia
