Electronic invoices make your life more convenient

  • Round the clock access to invoices in the Internet Bank
  • E-invoices are protected by Internet Bank passwords
  • Paying invoices with an e-invoice automated standing order is even easier
  • Subscribing to e-invoices is free
  • Electronic invoices are environmentally friendly

By subscribing to e-invoices you get all your future invoices from one place and at the same time, regardless of where you are at the moment. Paying e-invoices is particularly convenient: from the invoice you get instant access to a pre-populated payment order, there you can also enter an e-invoice with automated standing order agreement for regular payments.

E-invoice is an electronic document sent to the bank by the invoice issuer (service provider) and it completely replaces the paper invoice. E-invoices can be ordered from those service providers who offer their clients an opportunity to send billing information as e-invoices. The prerequisite for sending e-invoices to a bank is an agreement between you and the invoice issuer. We store all e-invoices for 13 months, after this period they are deleted from the banking system. If you wish to store your invoices for longer, you can easily save them to your computer from the Internet Bank.

You can see e-invoices in your Internet Bank — all of your future invoices will be available from one place and at the same time, regardless of where you are at the moment.

The service is secure — your invoices cannot be accessed by strangers because they are protected with Internet Bank passwords.

Paying the invoices is simple and convenient — when you start the payment, the payment order is already pre-populated with payment information. There you can also enter into a standing order agreement for regular payments.

Possible to order express notification — with express notification you have a good overview of e-invoices sent to the bank. You do not have to log in to the Internet Bank to receive an overview, the notification is sent to you by e-mail or SMS. Read more

E-invoices can be subscribed to and orders terminated from the SEB Internet Bank menu “Transactions” or in the nearest SEB branch.

E-invoice with automated standing order is the most convenient way to pay regular invoices. You have the option to choose when the bank pays from your company’s account — on the invoice payment deadline,  on the second day after the invoice arrived at the bank, or on a set date, if the invoice issuer permits such a selection. The invoice amount can be different each time; payments are made within the limits set by you.

E-invoice with automated standing order can be used for paying invoices, if you service provider has an agreement for forwarding e-invoices with the bank or operator service provider.

Thanks to e-invoice with automated standing order service, your invoices are always paid on time and you do not have to spend your time on making payments.

E-invoice with automated standing order is cheaper than current internal and domestic payments.

Good to know

Take care that your company’s account has sufficient funds on the agreed payment date no later than 16:00. If by the payment deadline the necessary amount has not reached your account or the invoice exceeds your allowed limit, we will not complete the standing payment order. We will transfer the amount on your account, if you have permitted partial payments to be made.

By permitting a partial payment, you need to take into account that, for example, a newspaper subscription or insurance agreements are not extended before the invoice has been paid in full; therefore, it is sensible to immediately pay the invoices for certain services in full.

We recommend you order a notification by SMS or e-mail, in case your company’s account has insufficient funds as of the payment deadline or the invoice amount exceeds the allowed limit.

You can enter into an e-invoice with automated standing order agreement from the SEB Internet Bank menu “Transactions” or in the nearest SEB branch.

What should I do if I wish to conclude an e-invoice standing payment agreement?
Before concluding an e-invoice standing payment agreement, you need to have requested that the service provider forward its e-invoices to SEB Pank.  To do so, an e-invoice application needs to be filed with the service provider, via the Internet Bank or at a branch. Then you can conclude an e-invoice standing payment agreement.
If a standing payment agreement has been concluded, yet no e-invoice application has been filed, bills will not be sent to the bank and e-invoices will not be paid automatically.

Can I also conclude an e-invoice standing payment agreement if I do not have an Internet Bank agreement?
Yes. In this case, the bank will be sent an e-invoice with limited information, based on which standing payments can be made automatically. A complete bill, with detailed information about the service or goods, will be sent by the service provider to you via another agreed upon route (e-mail, regular post or the like).

What to do if I have reached an agreement with someone for them to start paying e-invoices on my behalf?
In that case, you need to file an e-invoice application at a branch or with the service provider, indicating which service provider’s e-invoices you wish to redirect to someone else for payment.
For this, you need to know the personal identification code and the SEB bank account number of the payer of the bill. Going forward, your e-invoices will be sent in a truncated format, where detailed information concerning the purchased goods or provided services will not be shown. Based on a bill sent to the payer, the payer may conclude an e-invoice standing payment agreement to pay your bills.

How can I find out if the service provider, whose e-invoices I wish to pay using standing order, has concluded an agreement for forwarding e-invoices with the bank?
If you access the Internet Bank to conclude an e-invoice with automated standing order agreement, enter the service provider’s business name or registry code into the search field in the agreement form. If the search gives no results, the service provider does not have an agreement for forwarding e-invoices.

How much does an e-invoice standing payment cost?
The service charge for the e-invoice standing payment is half that of the standard service charge for an internal or domestic payment. For a user of any SEB plan for private individuals, e-invoice standing payments will be free of charge.

How long shall the bank check my account if there are insufficient funds on the payment day?
If there are insufficient funds on your account on the payment day or the e-invoice exceeds your allowed limit, the banking system checks your current account until the payment deadline shown on the invoice and makes the payment when money is paid into the account. If your account does not have sufficient funds to make the payment in the amount shown on the e-invoice and within the deadline or if you do not increase the limit within the period, the standing order will not be made. If you have permitted partial payments to be made from your account, the bank sends the invoice issuer the amount, within the amount on your account, on the payment deadline, subtracting the bank’s service fee from the amount. By permitting partial payment, you need to take into account that a newspaper subscription, fitness club monthly card, ID ticket or insurance are not extended before the invoice has been fully paid; therefore, it is reasonable not to permit partial payment for certain services.

How can I change my e-invoice with automated standing order agreement?
An e-invoice with automated standing order agreement can be changed in the Internet bank or a bank branch. It is possible to change the current account number, payment day, daily and monthly limits, agreement termination date and whether partial payments are permitted or not. The changes will be valid from the point of making the change, except when the payment day is changed. A change in the payment date is valid from the next e-invoice with automated standing order sent to the bank.

What should I do if I do not wish to pay the issued e-invoice?
If you have an e-invoice with automated standing order agreement for paying the e-invoice, then we recommend you cancel the automatic payment of the particular invoice. As the bank is not responsible for the contents of the e-invoice, address any questions to the invoice issuer, or the service provider. If the need to pay this invoice at a later date arises, you have to make a regular internal or domestic payment.

How can I unsubscribe from e-invoice orders to the bank?
In the bank, e-invoice orders can only be terminated in case of these invoices, the initial subscription application of which has been made in the bank from 1 July 2013. Orders placed earlier and e-invoice orders initiated at the service provider cannot be terminated in the bank, for this you need to go to the service provider. If e-invoices that are sent to your Internet Bank are not issued in your name, but you only pay for them, you cannot terminate the e-invoice order. This needs to be done by the person who uses that service, or person who ordered the e-invoice service.
