SEB is the greenest, both inside and outside

75.2% of the electric energy we have been using since 2010 is produced from renewable sources of energy.

We are the only financial institution in Estonia that consumes environmentally friendly energy and whose buildings, such as our headquarters in Tornimäe, function fully on Green Energy. We want to minimise our ecological footprint by reducing our energy consumption and using renewable energy.

SEB Group operates in 21 countries and last year it pumped 50,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Although it is not a huge amount compared to some industrial companies of the same size, it still adds to global warming, and there is no way it is good for the environment. Our goal is to cut emissions by a half in the next five years and using Green Energy is going to help us achieve this goal.

You can also partake in environmentally friendly energy consumption as a client of SEB. For example, our ATMs and Internet Bank use Green Energy. We can be even more environmentally friendly by signing contracts digitally and using electronic channels to send document copies and notices. SEB is constantly developing its electronic services to reduce the use of paper and make the use of our services even more convenient for our clients.
