Triin Messimas, Development Manager of Private Loans at SEB: “The economic situation remained the same or even improved for 77% of the respondents with a higher education compared to just 62% of the respondents with a basic education. The economic situation of women deteriorated slightly more during the economic crisis in comparison with that of men.
Roughly 90% of the respondents believe that their economic situation will remain the same or improve in the next two years. Forty-five per cent of the men believe that their economic situation will improve or improve substantially in the next two years. Thirty-four per cent of the women believe the same. Likewise, Estonian-speaking clients have more faith in the future as 41% of them believe that the economic situation will improve. Of the Russian-speaking clients, 32% believe in the improvement of the economic situation.”
SEB conducted the survey on home loans with a focus on loan-related issues in spring 2012. The survey covered 2118 clients who have taken out a home loan.
